Welcome to the SCILD homepage!

SCILD stands for the Swiss CF Infant Lung Development cohort. It is a nationwide study that seeks to characterize early changes in airway function of CF infants in order to improve diagnostic and treatment strategies. This prospective study began in 2011 with the integration of CF into newborn screenings in Switzerland, and is funded in part through the Swiss National Science Foundation. Since June 2018 we gladly invite the children from 6 and 9 to take part in phase III of the SCILD Study. At present, more than 150 children are taking part in the study.
